When discussing advice for first-time programmers people often leave this part out. As a new programmer, you should welcome setbacks but expect success. My journey in programming has been an up and down roller coaster. There were many times when I wanted to give up. BUT I DIDN'T! When you hit a roadblock, remember why you wanted to learn to code. This is when you let your dedication and commitment take over. Everyone has a difficult time in the beginning and even seasoned developers use Google for help. Programming is hard, so go easy on yourself.
